31 and just getting wisdom teeth? Also, just plain weird teeth!?

Is this possible? I have a tooth coming in back there. Why do people get wisdom teeth removed?





Also, I still have a few primary teeth. I'm going to eventually have to get dental implants. Are those covered by insurance? Why are my teeth so weird? Isn't this all hereditary? Have I passed on my "weird" teeth genes to my sons?

Wisdom teeth are removed because there may not be enough room for the to come through, this is called impacted, it really hurts when they are impacted, hurts all over your face and into your ear.


I have had 3 wisdoms removed because of this.


I am 38 and the 4th wisdom has just come through, Dentist said quite normal and sometimes peoples wisdoms dont come through at all.


As for the implants, you better check your insurance plan as each is different.
Reply:Wisdom teeth can come in at any time. I know a man who had his come in after age 70. He couldn't wear his dentures as a result.


They get removed if they are impacted and wont come out otherwise. This is especially true if they are infected. The teeth above are removed if the ones below dont come in because there is nothing to stop their growth.

Reply:Sorry, this is nothing to do with teeth, just answering your questions from my page. I thought you ate crumble in the States, you make a fruit filling, like a pie filling and then you put crumbley stuff on top, it's made from flour and butter and that.


The hob is the top of the oven where you put stuff on to boil or fry.
