I remember my friend had stains on his teeth that looked like rust, what could that have been caused by?

he only ever told one person what it was from and neither of them would tell me, i always thought that it was from braces because the stains were in that kind of pattern but i didn't think that braces would rust!

i know this guy in primary school (national/ middle school)

i just remembered it right there, what could they have been caused by?

cheers!

I remember my friend had stains on his teeth that looked like rust, what could that have been caused by?
could be dental fluorosis, which leads to chalky blotching of teeth, rust-coloured stains, surface pitting and brittleness.
Reply:Improper brushing or VERY poor nutrition.
Reply:certain medicines administered to babies can cause the discoloration of permanent teeth. Braces do not cause stains
Reply:coffee or smoking
Reply:eating old metal.
Reply:smoking,, lol eating orange crisps lol !
Reply:If I remember rightly that's caused by too much fluoride either in the water or by using too much tooth paste. It also causes brittle teeth too.
Reply:too much iron in his diet
Reply:not brushing?........perhaps too much licking
