Which is the best console?

I know this must have been asked a billion times already! Personally for me - the PS3 all the way - I study a Bsc (Hons) in Computing and speacilize in computer game design - so I have some insight that has led me to this decision. So what do you think and please back up your decision. Oh and by the way - for any xbox360 owners - no the GPU is not a factor - why? Because the Ps3 is a parallel processing system - whereas the Xbox360 is a sequential processing system (yes it is true that the PS3 can be sequentially programmed - but that was not the primary objective of the design). If you do not understand these two terms and their importance - do a Google search or something - maybe some will comment on this - it is VERY important!! Anyway - go for it - defend your chosen console to the teeth and everybody respect each others views - there is certainly enough room in the market place for all of them!!

Reply:Oh come on. This is gonna start another debate that narrows down to two blind people debating weather they will see more with a glass or plastic eye.





The decision on which console you like best is simply a matter of personal choice, the games you like to play and the budget you have available.
Reply:The PS3 is the best but it's heavily overpriced compared to the 360 thanks to it's pointless Blu-Ray player.

I like the 360 the best mainly because of all the add ons you can get for it and all the games that are available for it. And it will have halo 3. I also like that you can use it as a media center extender and watch tv and such on it.





Next I have to chose the Wii because it is very simple to use and it is also fun to use. Nintendo did something different, out of the box and it paid off. It may not be powerful, but how many households have a 52" plasma hd 1080p tv. Most people have just a normal 27" tube tv. So they don't really see the difference if it is low res or 1080p.





Next would be the ps3 because it does not have nearly as many "new" games designed for the ps3. there are not as many add ons and it does't have a media center extender. It does have a blu ray player and may be a little more powerfull than the 360 but it is unnoticable to basically any normal people.





Then i would say the ps2 because it is still on the market and it is selling more than the ps3's and the 360's combined. It is cheap ($129.99 CND) and it has a LOT of games, and works good.
