My sister is 9 years old and she has a loose tooth?

we are all wondering in the house if its a primary tooth that will grow back or an adult tooth that is for life? its very loose but we are scared of pulling out like she always does just in case. we couldn't go see the dentist today so we have to wait until monday and im afraid its will fall or something.

If she is 9 years old it is more than likely tooth. If the tooth pains her just when she bites on it, that too is an indicator it is a loose baby tooth, an adult tooth would ache all the time, especially when lying down, throb, be sensitive to hot and cold, etc.

Charts enclosed to help.
Reply:If she is 9, it is most probably a primary tooth. And pulling it herself will save you money. If you h ave dental insurance, she should have a check up to discuss when she might be losing other primary teeth
Reply:she will be fine. I lost my last tooth when i was 12
Reply:You can find a chart of what primary teeth look like on this page:

This is what secondary (adult) teeth will look like:

I'm sure that if the tooth is so loose it might fall out any second, it is a primary tooth. Unless she was injured, that is probably the case. To be sure, wait until your appointment. Have her eat soft food in the mean time.
Reply:r u a dental phobic person or somthing?
