Home treatment for abcess of primary tooth?

Unfortunately, there is none. It depends what you mean by an abscess. If the child's face is swollen you should seek treatment as soon as possible because the infection could become dangerous to the child's health. If there is a "gum boil" or pimple on the gum in the area of the tooth, this is nature's way of draining the infection. This might not be causing pain at this time because it is draining, but the infection can cause a malformation of the permanent tooth which is forming below the primary tooth. The only definative treatment is either extraction of the tooth or possibly a baby tooth root canal called a pulpectomy to save the tooth. An X-ray would help to determine which would be better.

Home treatment for abcess of primary tooth?
There is none. Heat from a heating pad will help and Advil to reduce the swelling.... But you are going to need antibiotics and then to have it pulled more than likely.
Reply:try to gargle with some salt water or a mixture of peroxide and water, you should really get to a doctor or dentist to get on an antibiotic though.
Reply:go to your local pharmacy and buy some cloves oil. They usually keep it behind the counter. get sterile gauze, and also something like oral gel. Soak the gauze in just a lil bit and pack tooth. This is what some Dentist use :)
Reply:Swill around the infected area with warm salt water. Rub on Bonjella, or other teething gel. But this will only ease the pain a little. You need to get anti-biotics
Reply:dr.tieshner mouth wash would help a little as far as some disinfectant and it will take some of the pain away but there is really nothing else at home that will solve the problem you need to see a dentist you need antibiotics.
Reply:Peroxide mixture and dilute with water, Use as a rinse. And you could also try Warm Salt %26amp; water same use as a rinse/gargule.
Reply:ARGH, there is no home treatment! go to the dentist, the actual treatment of an abscessed primary tooth is extraction and placement of a space maintaining appliance. GO!
Reply:There is none. Don't make your child suffer, please. Find a way to get it taken care of.
