Is it unusual that my 14mo old (15mo on the 27th) has all 20 of his primary baby teeth?

He has every one.. all the way through. I'm wondering if I should start taking him to the dentist? He's had the last two in the back (second molars, I think?) for a couple of weeks, and that made twenty.

By all means no! Perfectly normal. Normal for babies is a massive range mind you! My daughter turned one today and has only just got her second tooth through. She was a day off eleven months before the first finally showed itself. Some people will say getting teeth late is better, some say the earlier the better. I say it is all normal for the baby, and genes play a part (my first daughter was later than most her age to get teeth too). In years to come it makes no difference. My eldest is almost 8 and is about the same stage as the others her age with losing teeth, they just took longer to grow back than most! You'll probably find when he's older he won't have gaps for long, which is great! Having a gap 4 teeth wide at the front for over 12 months isn't really a great look...!!!
Reply:I wouldn't think that it was unusual. The longer baby teeth stay in the better they say. But go to the dentist anyway just to make sure.
Reply:His teeth are normal. I dont think there is any need to take him to the dentist yet; Unless his teeth have a rotten look to them or something definatly looks wrong.

Reply:my daughter was 2 months old when she got her 1st tooth.


She is 13 months old now, and has her back teeth in both on top and bottom. shes only got a few more to go..which i can see coming in.


I heard some babies are BORN with teeth!!


i would just say Hes a heallthy baby!..now i do know a women whos son is 9 months old and only has two teeth.


i think i would be more worried if he didnt have that many!
